A classic Philly cheesesteak with tender, thinly sliced beef, melted provolone, and sautéed onions on a toasted hoagie roll. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or game day!
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions (and peppers if using) until soft and golden, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet.
In the same skillet, add the thinly sliced steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Return onions and peppers to the skillet and mix.
Place slices of provolone over the meat and veggie mixture, cover with a lid, and let the cheese melt.
Spoon the cheesy beef and onion mixture onto each hoagie roll. Serve hot and enjoy!
