Ingredients

  • 6-8 fresh peaches sliced
  • 1 cup sugar granulated
  • 1 cup flour all-purpose
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp cinnamon optional for added flavor

Instructions

  • Peel and slice the peaches if using fresh. In a large bowl, toss peaches with sugar and cinnamon (if using), coating them evenly.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and stir until a smooth batter forms.
  • Pour the melted butter into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Pour the batter over the butter without stirring. Arrange the peach mixture evenly over the batter.
  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly, then serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired. Enjoy!
