4 green tomatoes sliced 1 cup cornmeal 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper 1/2 tsp paprika 2 large eggs 1/4 cup buttermilk Vegetable oil for frying

In one bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, and paprika. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and buttermilk.
Dip each tomato slice first into the egg mixture, then into the cornmeal mixture, ensuring an even coating.
In a large skillet, heat about 1/4 inch of vegetable oil over medium heat until hot.
Carefully add the coated tomato slices to the hot oil, frying in batches for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
Remove the fried tomatoes and drain on paper towels. Serve hot as an appetizer or side dish!
