- 4 boneless chicken thighs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup waffle mix plus ingredients as per package
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Maple syrup for serving
Marinate the chicken in buttermilk, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, salt, and pepper. Dredge the marinated chicken in the flour mixture, coating evenly.
Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
Prepare the waffle mix according to package instructions and cook waffles in a preheated waffle maker until golden.
