Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup waffle mix plus ingredients as per package
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Maple syrup for serving

Instructions
 

  • Marinate the chicken in buttermilk, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, salt, and pepper. Dredge the marinated chicken in the flour mixture, coating evenly.
  • Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  • Prepare the waffle mix according to package instructions and cook waffles in a preheated waffle maker until golden.
  • Place fried chicken on top of waffles, drizzle with maple syrup, and enjoy!
