Ingredients

  • Wings:
  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil for frying or baking
  • Buffalo Sauce:
  • ½ cup hot sauce like Frank’s RedHot
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tbsp honey optional, for a slightly sweet twist
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Prepare the Wings
  • Pat the wings dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, season the wings with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, tossing to coat evenly.
  • Fry or Bake the Wings
  • To Fry: Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 375°F (190°C). Fry the wings in small batches for 10-12 minutes, or until they’re golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  • To Bake: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are crispy and fully cooked.
  • Make the Buffalo Sauce
  • In a small saucepan, combine the hot sauce, melted butter, honey, and Worcestershire sauce. Heat over medium-low, stirring frequently, until the sauce is smooth and well-mixed.
  • Toss the Wings in Sauce
  • Place the cooked wings in a large bowl, pour the buffalo sauce over them, and toss to coat evenly.
  • Serve
  • Transfer the wings to a platter, and serve with celery sticks and blue cheese or ranch dressing on the side.
